The system can detect image optical signal change. When there is light change, camera will be triggered. That is how motion detection works.It may cause false alarm or miss some movement if the sensitivity is too high or too low. If it's too high, the camera will be triggered frequently. You can turn down the motion detection sensitivity depending on your situation.Besides, please put the camera in a room where doesn't have much sunshine.
If you phone and computer can't connect the camera, neither locally nor remotely and it says camera is offline,please try methods below.1. Please notice if camera spins when connecting to power. If not, please change another adapter to have a try.2. Please make sure camera is plugged into router with ethernet cable and router has Internet.3. Please check the yellow and green light on the ethernet port of the camera. One should be blinking which indicates camera has connected to router successfully. The system's default password is blank(nothing). We suggest you change system's default password when you hook up the system for the first time to protect your privacy. Below are instructions how to change password.1. Use system's user name admin and default password blank to log in system.2. Right click mouse and select main menu.3. Go to advanced.4. Many customers contact us to complain that the camera's daytime vision is OK but night vision faces issue like picture below. Half image is too dark while half is too white.This problem is caused by the wrong position of camera's head place.Camera's lens can not be point close to object like wall. 1. Is internal hard drive a must if we want to record?YES. System must install in internal hard drive to save recordings. Without an internal hard drive, system is not able to record nor play back. 2. Is an external USB hard drive able to record?NO. System can only record to internal hard drive and can NOT record to external USB hard drive. 3. Is an external USB hard drive able to back up video from internal hard drive?YES. You can connect a USB hard drive to system to back up video from internal hard drive. 4. Can we remove internal hard drive and install it to a computer to read video?NO. If you install the internal hard drive from DVR to a computer, the computer will ask to format hard drive and formatting will erase all files in hard drive. 5. Where can we play back video in hard drive?You can play back video in hard drive on TV or monitor. Besides, you can also play video on phone app and computer.
There are several requirements of hard disk drive (HDD)1. 1. If camera powers on, the infrared lights should turn on in red color when light around front part of camera is dim and weak.2. If people wanna see image of camera at night when there is no light around the front part of camera, the infrared lights on camera should turn on in red color. When infrared lights are on in red color, the image of camera turns black and white, not colorful.Therefore, we can judge if camera powers on or turns into night mode by infrared lights.You can use hands to cover the front of camera. If you can see red lights, infrared lights turns on.
There are 3 ways to view image of cameras on DVR system.1. View on monitor doesn't need Internet. So a router is not necessary for view on monitor.2. View on computer and phone need Internet. So a router is necessary for view on computer and phone.But please notice system is not connected to computer or phone directly by cable. System is plugged into router to connect Internet by Ethernet. Phone and computer is also connected to Internet. Finally, phone and computer can use Internet to connect system.
Here is how to connect DVR system:The VGA or HDMI port of laptop or host of desktop is used to output video, not input video, so does DVR's VGA or HDMI port. Therfore, you can't plug DVR to laptop's or desktop host's VGA or HDMI port directly.The VGA and HDMI port of DVR can only connect to a separate monitor without a host.Computer can only connect DVR by Internet, not by direct plug.
Other cameras' image is normal, both in daytime and at night, but one or several cameras' image is wrong, such as fuzzy, flickering, snowing, staying black and white in daytime and so on.For example:1. connect camera C1 to channel A1 with working cable B2 to confirm if it is cable B1's problem.2. Connect camera C1 to working channel A2 with working cable B2 to confirm if it is camera C1's problem.3. Connect working camera B2 to channle A1 with working cale B2 to confirm if it is channel port A1's problem.Please try all methods above to confirm which part is wrong so that we can give you correct replacement.
If all cameras are connected to DVR/NVR with cables and recorder is connected to a monitor with a cable, one or several cameras show no live video on monitor, but others are working fine. If you need buy a hard drive by yourself, please don't buy hard drive for desktop computer.The hard drive for desktop has the word "desktop" in its description.The hard drive for DVR NVR has the word "surveillance" in its description.If you know the model of hard drive, search it in google to check it is desktop or surveillance use. Below are reasons why desktop hard drive can not be used in DVR NVR. 1. The current to power on desktop hard drive is bigger than surveillance hard drive.Therefore, if you install desktop hard drive into DVR NVR, DVR NVR may be not able to power on hard drive and make it run. 2. The desktop hard drive is designed for 8 hours everyday use, not for 24 hours every day use.Therefore, if you install desktop hard drive into DVR NVR, hard drive may be broken after several weeks 24 hours running.
